A Nigerian Air Force helicopter on Friday morning crashed in Lagos. Spokesman of the Air Force,
Dele Alonge, in a statement said the helicopter was on a training mission in Lagos at about 10am when it crashed. “The helicopter, which suffered severe damage, was returning to the Apron after the completion of the training exercise when it crashed due to hydraulic failure while on taxi to the hanger,” he said. The Air Force spokesman who confirmed that there was no casualty in the crash added that the main Rotor debris caused damage to some ground equipment on location. “The Chief of Air Staff, Adesola Amosun, has ordered an immediate investigation into the crash,” he added.
